Favorite Books

Below is a list of books that have really resonated with me. Over time, I hope to add a review on the site for each of these.

A Canticle for Leibowitz

by Walter M. Miller Jr.

A story that shows how even after a nuclear apocalypse there can still be humor.

A Fine and Pleasant Misery

by Patrick F. McManus

I first read this as a kid while on a family vacation visiting relatives in the country. When I was growing up, we didn’t do many outdoor activities, such as camping or hiking, so this collection of essays showed me an alternative world in the woods that I was missing out on. I like to think that this led to me spending my time as an adult exploring instead of being cooped up indoors.
